We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team and lead the enhancement of existing supplier processes, elevating the quality of service and value-add to GE Appliances' manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the certification and launch of new manufacturing processes within our supply base, ensuring that all New Product Implementations meet our stringent expectations for quality and delivery.PositionSupplier Quality Engineer - Packaging ComponentsLocationUSA, Louisville, KYUSA, Decatur, ALHow You'll Create Possibilities

Take ownership of all aspects of supplier relationships impacting Cost of Quality (COQ) to GE Appliances for suppliers of packaging components.

Influence sourcing and design decisions through early supplier engagement and selection.

Conduct comprehensive PPAP on all new parts to ensure qualified parts and materials are delivered prior to pilot.

Ensure PPAP approved parts are available at pilot with a reliable supply chain to maintain continuous production.

Responsiveness to plant quality excursions and drive corrective action processes to meet all milestones.

Drive permanent resolution of manufacturing issues and consumer concerns stemming from supplier defects.

Develop plans to rectify or replace problematic suppliers through robust corrective actions or qualification of alternate suppliers.

Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to implement projects enhancing customer satisfaction and eliminating waste.

Champion the use of quality tools, metrics, and data to identify and drive quality improvement projects across all suppliers, ultimately improving supplier value to GE Appliances.

Collaborate with Sourcing to develop and implement commodity and supplier strategies aimed at delivering long-term excellence in cost, quality, and delivery.

Serve as the part program manager, ensuring schedule adherence, obstacle resolution, and availability for production.

Offer solutions to project teams and overcome resistance to ensure positive outcomes for the business.

Proactively anticipate program and supplier needs, providing timely and relevant information.

What You'll Bring to Our TeamMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or equivalent technical experience.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Quality, and/or Technical roles within a manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with packaging-specific manufacturing processes such as corrugate, cardboard boxes, pallets, wire banding, adhesives, etc.

Proficiency in reading and understanding prints, dimensioning, and tolerancing.

Demonstrated leadership skills to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.

Ability to independently develop, manage, and implement aggressive project plans globally and domestically.

Strong background in applying statistical quality control tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, Process Capability, FMEA, and DOEs.

Ability to simplify complex information and prepare concise executive summaries for leadership teams.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
