Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking a Diesel Equipment Field Technician to work at customer sites in the state of Louisiana with a shop location of Geismar, LA. The role performs basic diagnostics and equipment repairs at the client site in the safest and most effective way possible with an emphasis on returning equipment to service to avoid equipment down time. Types of equipment our Field Technicians work on may include: large-scale power-generators, plant HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment. The general service area for this role is 200-300 miles from Geismar, LA. A company truck (and gas card) is provided, which can be driven home.

We offer:
Competitive hourly pay between $20.76 - $26.51+/hour, depending on experience

Monday-Friday, 7 am to 5 pm schedule with 1 week of after-hours, on-call rotation once per month

Requirements:
At least 3 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment like large-scale generators, compressors, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment
Own set of basic tools
Valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record
Willingness to submit to a background check and motor vehicle check
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:
Understanding of basic refrigeration (EPA Certified), electrical engines and controllers
Familiar with operation of dehumidification equipment from CDI and munters
Knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater and Shoring; possesses an understanding of diesel equipment, generators and air compressors
Understands compressed air treatment (dryers/filters/aftercooler)
Able to read electric schematics and hydraulic flow drawings or willing to learn
Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
