Chef Isaac Toups’ multiple Beard finalist-nominated restaurant is seeking a Sous Chef!
This is an opportunity to hone your skills, study and collaborate under a James Beard Nominated Chef and Top Chef-level competitor. Candidates should be equally driven and cognizant of the accomplishment and reputation of the restaurant. Toups’ has been an institution in New Orleans for 13 years, a neighborhood fixture well known not only for its delicious Cajun fare but also for its tireless efforts to feed those struggling in the community. The cuisine is bold but very refined, deep in flavor and not shying away from spice. Our dishes use classical French techniques combined with the traditional methods and recipes that have been passed down in the Toups family for generations.
Must be well-versed in classical French technique. Knowledge of charcuterie and Cajun cuisine strongly preferred. Candidate must be prepared for a high volume, fast paced work environment and have experience in expediting and consistent recipe production. Positive mindset and willingness to collaborate with FOH & BOH team required.
Salary negotiable upon experience.
