Hi! CÔNG TỬ BỘT is hiring! We are a small, weird, and over-rated Vietnamese restaurant whose primary goal is to somehow make restaurant jobs more sustainable (emotionally, physically, and financially) for the majority of people that work in it (ie not just the owners and head chefs). We’re trying to do this in a myriad of ways that are tangible and intangible and if you’re interested in this job we’d love to tell you all about it.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A full time line cook working Wed, Fri, Sat, and Sun nights. Ideally you have some experience but we are able to train anyone if you like to learn and/or have some other relevant cooking knowledge. This is NOT a seasonal position.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Position starts at $16/hour and qualifies for a full share of tips. Tips add an additional $7-$9 per hour!
- BOH staff are paid bi-weekly on Mondays.
- After 30 days employment, each employee gets 10 hours of paid sick leave. Hours are then accrued at a rate of 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked. A more detailed review of the policy is included in the new hire packet.
- Annual shoe and knife reimbursements.
- "Consent-based scheduling", which means we never schedule you for anything you haven’t explicitly agreed to :)
- All hourly staff are unionized and if hired, you are required to join.
