Candidates must reside in the US and be able to work an 8 am - 5 pm schedule in their time zone. Occasional travel is required, up to 10%.PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Outside Sales Representative is tasked with generating new direct sales relationships for Constellations Carbon Accounting Software platform. The Outside Sales representative is responsible for prospecting new potential customers, achieving new appointments, closing and renewing software customers. Qualified candidates are expected to demonstrate a high degree of motivation as well as experience in identifying and growing business through new customers. Our carbon accounting platform scales and is competitive among mid-market and enterprise customers, allowing clients to measure more easily, track and report Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions. While an understanding of, or interest in, energy markets and carbon accounting is preferred, it is not required. Carbon Accounting Software and Climate Action planning are quickly growing industries, requiring strong communicating sales representatives that can interpret customers' level of expertise, communicate effectively, and follow through to contract. As customer expectations around corporate sustainability increase, our sales force is expected to continue to learn and keep pace with new regulations and the associated impacts to customers.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Prospect customers by creating and leveraging lists of potential customers, identifying appropriate contacts and performing appropriate diligence in advance of customer reach out.

Develop consistent pipeline of new appointments, follow up meetings and contracting discussions. This effort includes cold calling, e-mailing and marketing to upper management decision makers and executive level contacts at businesses exceeding $10MM in revenue per year or appropriate proxies. Maintain pipeline through consistent use of CRM.

Close new customers by fostering value-additive relationships with decision makers, collecting and documenting information pertaining to level of service for contract execution and implementation

Maintain and support relationships with clients throughout and after customer integration, in support of renewal business and customer growth.

Develop expert understanding of Scope 1, Scope 2 & Scope 3 emissions, reporting frameworks including TCFD, CDP, and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and Constellation's broader suite of products and services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' of Sales Experience.

Demonstrated experience in all sales cycle stages from prospecting to close.

Interested in sustainability, energy and understanding and solving customer challenges.

Meets & exceeds prospecting, appointment setting and close metrics.

Willingness & ability to work in fast-paced and quickly changing business environment.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills, strong presentation ability and highly organized. All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write in English.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint & Excel.

The position requires a self-motivated individual willing to take on a broad range of responsibilities and make decisions in a manner consistent with Constellation values.

Prior experience selling energy sustainability solutions or utility software highly preferred

Degree in a field relevant to Sustainability, Energy, Finance or Economics

Bachelor's degree with of 3+ years' sales experience

Working knowledge of ESG, Carbon Accounting, Energy markets or Climate Action Planning

Success in selling complex solutions in fast changing market environment with short sales cycles
