Responsibilities

The NA will configure, upgrade, support, and monitor Cisco routers, and Cisco switches to ensure they comply with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements.

The contractor will develop and implement access control list for Cisco routers, Cisco and NetGear switches as well as SonicWall, NetGear and Cisco firewalls, and other network devices.

The contractor establishes network specifications by conferring with users, analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.

The NA establishes the network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, latency, planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment, define network policies and procedures, establishing connections and firewalls.

The contractor will be responsible for the development and implementation of back-up and disaster recovery procedures.

The contractor will provide the management of COMSEC keying material and equipment for multiple locations, capable of configuration and administration of NSA approved Type I encryption devices in accordance with the applicable (EKMS 1B) policies and guidelines.

The contractor shall update and maintain Cyber Security system patching, vulnerability assessments using ACAS vulnerability scanner, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) STIGS and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) in accordance and collaboration with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM/ISSO) Officer in accordance with the RMF/JSIG, Rev 4, and as amended.

The contractor shall communicate outage notifications and requirements, system metrics/performance reporting, and project status to the Government IT Lead.

The contractor shall communicate system/network outages to the user community.

The contractor shall develop plans and dates associated with tasks and provide status updates on a weekly basis to the Government IT Lead. The contractor NA shall deliver monthly accomplishments, metrics and project reports for assigned projects and tasking that includes schedule and performance tracking.

The contractor will be responsible for designing network architectures, including interface configuration and routing protocols.

The Network Administrator will be responsible for providing cybersecurity analysis, information technology support, and applying DoD security controls to operating systems and applications.

The contractor shall provide for qualified personnel to function as the Privileged User (e.g. Network Administrator (NA)) as required by the Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), Rev 4, and as amended. The contractor shall provide and perform a wide range of network administration/life cycle management tasks to support and sustain IT networks as directed by the Government IT Lead. The environment includes Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst and NetGear switches, Type I encryption devices, servers, workstations, and peripheral devices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

High School Diploma

This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Experience:

3+ years’ experience as a Network Administrator

The NA shall possess and maintain Information Assurance Workforce certifications in accordance with DoD approved 8570.01M (as amended or subsequent equivalent guidance/regulation) baseline certifications for the systems under their responsibility.

Certifications shall be provided by the contractor prior to entry into the position or no later than six (6) months after entry, in accordance with DoD 8570.01M.

The contractor NA shall annually provide an update of certifications to the Government ISSM, as part of the Monthly Technical and Cost Status report.

The contractor shall supply a hard copy of the certification to the ISSM upon request.
