Jr System Administrator
Title: ASSEMBLER Location: United States-Maryland-Patuxent River Job Number: 240000H2 Description- External - Assembles a variety of items such as bicycles, strollers, furniture, grills, lawn & garden equipment, etc. using common handtools, following manufacturers instructions. Items are assembled both for display and for customers after purchase. - Inspects finished products prior to delivery to ensure proper working order and advises customers on proper use and maintenance of equipment. - Installs optional equipment purchased by customers. - Performs selling duties such as assisting customers in the selection of merchandise and bicycles and advises on optional equipment available for purchase. - Performs minor repairs such as clean equipment, adjust brakes, gears, refinish minor scratches, replacing worn or broken parts, etc. - Maintains work area in a safe, orderly manner. - May assist in backroom and stocking, receiving functions as necessary. - Performs other related duties as assigned. Physical Effort: Stands, walks, bends, and lifts light to medium weight bulkly objects. May use a handcart to move stock within/to/from the storage and selling locations. Assists customers in loading merchandise into vehicles. This position may be required to supply the tools necessary to perform the duties assigned Qualifications: Qualifications-External GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Twelve months experience assembling items such as bicycles, strollers, furniture, grills, lawn & garden equipment, etc. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for 12 months of experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Stands, walks, bends, and lifts light to medium weight bulky objects. May use a handcart to move stock. Assists customers in loading merchandise into vehicles.
