Hires at the associate professor level may be considered based on qualifications. The appointment is expected to begin September 1, 2025.The position is defined broadly across the entire scope of heterogeneous computing. Scholars working across disciplines or in nontraditional areas of heterogeneous computing are particularly encouraged to apply. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, heterogeneous architectures, computing models with accelerators, GPU, NPU, FPGA, distributed storage systems, software and hardware co-design, performance analysis, parallel processing, emerging architectures, and/or other advanced topics in computer engineering, including sustainable computing.We hope this broad category reflects our openness to expand the scope of our department beyond our traditional strengths. The candidate is expected to teach existing graduate and undergraduate courses in Computer Engineering and will be encouraged to develop creative new curricula in their areas of interest or across disciplines. RequirementsApplicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields by August 31, 2025. Applicants must also demonstrate potential for scholarly excellence and developing an externally-funded research program, and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an internationally recognized scholarly presence. Candidates will also be expected to teach existing undergraduate and graduate courses in our curriculum in Electrical and Computer Engineering in addition to developing courses in their area of expertise.
