In this role they would help solve design and technical issues while leading task teams contributing to project delivery.  Traditionally labelled “Job Captain” in the profession, a person in this role will be involved in project development and deliverables from conceptual studies through full design and construction administration, as well as guiding others to follow best practices in the same. As part of diverse teams, this role will help organize and execute business development efforts, meet client goals, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards, in coordination with Project Managers, Lead Designers, Principals, BIM Leaders, QA/QC reviewers and other practice leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLeads, organizes and produces architectural drawing and specification sets across SD, DD, CD, and CA phases, meeting client/design/firm goals and deadlinesApplies industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, codes, systems, principles and technical capabilities to solving issues, with senior staff support as neededHas a strong commitment to meeting responsibilities, plus a positive, helpful outlook and ideas to contribute to a teamPossesses strong skills acquired through advanced training, study and experienceProfessionally licensed in architecture or actively pursuing licensureUnder the direction of the Supervising Architect / Designer, completes assigned work independently and receives/applies general guidance and direction on new projects, tasks and prioritiesAnalyzes issues and identifies solutions using existing techniques, and proposes approaches for novel issuesCoordinates the work with other disciplines and other departments participating in an assigned projectExercises independent judgement in determining how work is performed; review and approve design direction as requiredProactively identifies and advocates for improvements to existing processes and proceduresExchanges information on sensitive matters and works to build consensus across teams and departmentsUnderstands stakeholders by anticipating their needs and ensures work results will have positive impactAdapts to new processes or changing assignments, and considers alternative approaches to complete workSupports development of concepts and text descriptions for proposals/business developmentProvides guidance and training to junior team members, and proactively reports to project managers, principals, and lead designers.Report to the Lead PM and Principal
