Opportunity Overview As Associate Medical Director in North America Medical Affairs, you will contribute to the execution of the Medical Affairs strategy and tactics, assist with content development, KOL education programs , and support our cross-functional field teams for North America. You will be part of a small, dynamic team and report to the Medical Director, North America. You will thrive in this role if you are a self-starter and a highly collaborative individual who cares to have impact on patients in rare disease space. Responsibilities and Duties

Partner with Medical Director to contribute to and execute a highly efficient, integrated medical strategy for Rare Obesity in the North America region, with a priority focus on Bardet Biedl Syndrome (BBS) along with pipeline.

Work in close collaboration with Field Medical, Global Medical Affairs, Commercial, Customer Engagement, and other cross-functional partners to ensure engagement strategy, positioning and scientific educational initiatives are consistently aligned with Rhythm’s strategy and KOL knowledge needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional field teams to identify gaps and provide North America strategic input for the development of disease state and product specific educational and messaging opportunities in internal and external-facing materials and initiatives.

Lead medical content development, advisory boards and external vendor activity to ensure timely delivery of medical materials and initiatives.

Work closely with functional groups as subject matter medical expert, including field medical, area development managers, commercial and patient advocacy.

Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve and evolve educational and training content.

Manage budget for assigned projects.

Qualifications and Skills

Advanced degree, doctorate level (PharmD or Ph.D.), fellowship or other additional post doctorate experience highly preferred

6-8 years of relevant Medical Communications, Medical Affairs or related experience, substantial understanding of relevant therapeutic area required

Excellent written and communication skills

Experience in rare disease, biotech/pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs space preferred

Highly organized and able to manage supporting multiple initiatives

A curious learner who is focused on patient outcomes and values collaboration and advancing scientific understanding

Team player willing to roll up sleeves and bring expertise to other departments as needed

This role is based out of our corporate office in Boston, Massachusetts. Rhythm operates in a hybrid-work model. Candidates applying must be willing and able to be in the Boston office in coordination with their department and business needs. This role may involvesome travel.
