This role is responsible for a comprehensive understanding all sales data and the impact on business requirements for sales initiatives. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for providing detail data analysis to sales leaders and other business areas. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting sales application issues, identifying root cause of the issue, and recommending a solution. The Senior Data Analyst is also required to become a SME on sales applications and workflows across the Sales Division and assist in leading cross functional teams. The job responsibilities vary along with the phase of the project.

Throughout all projects the Senior Data Analyst meets regularly with the teams to accomplish the objectives presented in the below description.
Major Responsibilities:
Represents the interests of the Sales division on sales enablement projects and initiatives by understanding, creating, and translating business and data requirements into system requirements while working with IT and vendor partners to ensure that system and data design aligns with requirements and business needs
Subject matter expert for sales systems providing system administration (if needed), troubleshooting support and solutions; provide expertise for new product and initiatives and help to ensure critical sales systems are enhanced to address our changing business needs
Accurately prepares written business and technical correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional, and engaging.
Develop and/or assist in creating use cases, business scenarios and testing strategies; write, reviews, and executes test plans, leads root cause analysis
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with key external and internal customers
Help troubleshoot production data and reporting issues, identify root causes, and implement necessary coding updates
Work with detail Sales data to develop and produce standard ad hoc reports and analysis and support the project ensuring the correct data shows up on the correct screen at the correct time to the correct user .
Facilitate and/or participates in cross functional workgroups, as needed, to ensure project deliverables are met; assist with the identification and mitigation of project issues and risks; and understand how data affect sales application and workflow and conversely how sales application and workflow changes impact data.
Assist Project Manager(s) and lead team members and be able to apply comments/feedback appropriately and accurately.
Improves upon existing approaches by seeking opportunities to provide input to creatively transform current practices into fresh streamlined alternative solutions.
Ability to create end user job aids, create training materials and support the sales team thought the project and after market launch
Qualifications: (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Business data analysis skills to be able to ensure that system design aligns with business requirements
Must be detail oriented, and have solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to interpret, articulate and document business needs and process flows
Must have the ability to understand the impact of data changes on applications and workflows to develop future viable solutions and suggestions
Must be self motivated, professional, results oriented and promote a positive team spirit
Have the ability to take calculated actions when needed in complex or ambiguous situations to help set a direction or resolve issues
Solid knowledge of standard Microsoft tools
Three to four years of experience working with relational databases
strong focus on data manipulation and ability to drive results to completion with minimal supervision
Ability to extract, cleanse, integrate Sales account and membership data from various platforms and sources
Creative problem-solving skills with strong verbal and communication skills
In depth knowledge of application development testing and SDLC
Understand the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Contribute appropriately to conversations
Experience and Education:
BS/BA degree required
7-10 years data analysis and manipulation experience with progressive responsibilities in solution development and implementation
Health insurance experience preferred
