ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2, Sloan School of Management, to work for two teams within External Relations, the group responsible for producing external communications about the school including, gift proposals, newsletters, event invitations, and other items primarily targeted at Sloan’s 22,000 living alumni. Responsibilities will include aiding these teams in composing, compiling, editing, and prooing letters and other documents; interacting with internal and external constituencies; database maintenance and management; website maintenance; calendar and electronic file management; collaborating across multiple areas on office-wide projects; monitoring team's budget and account information; and other duties as agreed upon with supervisors. Job RequirementsREQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of administrative, office, or related experience; strong oral communication and technical writing skills; meticulous attention to detail; working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; ability to work both independently and collaboratively, multitask and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy and quality; discretion and judgment with confidential/sensitive information and issues; and ability to learn new software and technology. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree, preferably in the humanities; two years’ experience in communications roles, preferably within a higher education setting; familiarity with Advance and Drupal, sourcing and scheduling social media content, and InDesign.
