This position is part of a growing team of immunologists who are focused on developing new therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The ideal candidate will be excited to learn and apply their immunology skills to screen for new targets, develop assays to explore mechanisms of action for therapeutic targets, and support program teams as they advance programs toward clinical development.The successful candidate will be an individual contributor with deep scientific curiosity, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team, and ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Hands-on expertise and deep knowledge in immunology, autoimmunity, tolerance, and inflammation is required.Key responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and deliver cellular assays to support therapeutic target evaluation and progress of Discovery Immunology programs.
Work together with matrixed teams to determine which key scientific questions are priorities and develop ways to address those questions.
Identify new areas for professional growth through studying current literature and participating in team meetings.
Support a “one team” mindset as an active participant or leader in department activities, working groups, and other initiatives.
Key qualifications:
Graduate training (PhD, MS or equivalent) in immunology or immunology-related field. Minimum 4 years post graduate training in industry or related field for MS.
Skilled in basic cellular biology techniques including mammalian cell culture, mRNA quantification, Western blot, flow cytometry, & multiplex cytokine assessments.
Proven ability to rapidly respond to challenges, be adaptable to change, and communicate problems and results in a timely manner.
