Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Sister Ship, Faraway Hotel, Nantucket, MA
Sister Ship, a premier dining destination nestled within the scenic Faraway Hotel on Nantucket Island, is seeking a highly skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our culinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning, development, and execution.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality and consistency in food preparation.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
-Adhere to organizational standards and existing systems, while always looking to improve upon them when necessary.
- Contribute to the creation of innovative and seasonal dishes, reflecting the essence of Nantucket's culinary landscape and holding fast to our Mediterranean brand.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences.
- Knowledge of local and seasonal ingredients.
