Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in culinary arts, exceptional leadership skills, and a creative flair for blending diverse culinary traditions.
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with Chef Rojas to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu
development, food preparation, staff management, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative Latin and Asian
fusion elements into our New American cuisine.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
- Lead by example, fostering a positive and professional work environment while maintaining high standards of
culinary excellence.
- Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in adapting to seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for exploring new flavors and ingredients.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
