Project Director I (Part-time)

EDC has an opening for a part-time Project Director I, working 20 hours per week (50% LOE) and reporting to the Community Birth & Doula Initiative (CBDI) Director, in Massachusetts. This position will support operations and implementation of multiple grants advancing perinatal care access in Massachusetts and nationally. This growing portfolio of work focuses on building access to doulas, midwives, and community birth centers through systems strengthening, development of networks of care and seamless transfer pathways, and workforce support and development. CBDI works closely with state and national professional organizations and associations, community organizations, parent/family partners, and others. Areas of focus may include: improving perinatal outcomes for birthing people of color, those impacted by substance use disorders, those facing housing insecurity, and supporting data-based quality improvement systems. CBDI also focuses on expanding options for perinatal care for birthing people and their families, enabling integration of the community midwife model of care into diverse service delivery settings, and supporting diversification of the community-based perinatal workforce.

The person in this position is expected to communicate clearly and courteously; to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, collaborators, co-workers, field sites, and funders; and to work respectfully with EDC colleagues. The job requires adherence to EDC policies & procedures.The Project Director I:Is responsible for operational success, and the coordination of project activities to advance program objectivesManages performance, and adherence to schedules, contract requirements, and quality standardsProvides capacity building support and technical assistance to CBO sub-agreement partnersDevelops and oversees program processes and systemsContributes to strategic direction, priorities, and implementation timeline revisionsOversees project monitoring andadministrative supportContributes to business development opportunities and portfolio growthBuilds positive client, vendor, and funder relationsSupervises technical &/or administrative staff; may have administrative supervision over 1-3 staff
