Description Robert Half is looking for an exceptional Financial Analyst to be part of a fast-growing company. In this Financial Analyst role, you will conduct financial modeling on a range of financial products and measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Additional duties include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. In this role, you will serve as a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. In this Financial Analyst position, you will be responsible for supporting world class strategic and financial planning methods, building long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. Additionally, you will assist with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments.Your responsibilities

Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources

An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary

Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support

Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes

Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis

Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

Produce and manage forecasting reports

Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks

Requirements - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

Strong problem-solving skills

Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

2+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)

Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience desired

Deep understanding of month end closings

Financial modeling experience preferred

Analyze Financial Statements experience preferred
