Scrum Master Location: Ann Arbor, MI (Remote/Flexible) Type: 6+ month contract Please note: this position is remote to start but ideal candidates would be interested in on-site work once things are safer with COVID. We cannot work C2C on this opportunity and this client is unable to sponsor/transfer visas. Responsibilities: this individual will coach the Scrum team at a major financial services company. They will be responsible for promoting Agile values and helping the team perform at their highest level. This includes helping to remove impediments to progress, facilitate meetings, and working with the product owner to make sure the product backlog is well-groomed and ready for the next sprint. The Scrum Master acts as a buffer between the team and any distracting influences. Requirements:
5+ years of professional Scrum Master experience working with Agile software development teams
Must have knowledge and experience with the following: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, CI/CID, Automated Testing, etc.
Must be able to apply techniques using the Scrum approach (numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
Financial services and/or trading specific experience highly preferred
Previous experience as a team lead highly preferred
SM certifications highly preferred (CSM or PSM 1); PMP a plus too
