The operations finance team influences business decisions by gathering the best available operations information, distilling it and making recommendations to our management team on the best course of action. The corporate team provides a broad range of services, such as financial planning, corporate accounting, tax, industry analysis and benchmarking, internal audits, SEC reporting and merger and acquisition support. State & Local Tax ManagerKLA Corporation is seeking a State & Local Tax Manager who will be a significant part of the technology-minded and efficiency-focused tax compliance team. This person will be part of a team responsible for meeting KLA's domestic compliance requirements for state and local income, sales & use, and property taxes. We are looking for a multifaceted individual who can communicate effectively across various functional areas and has excellent hands-on problem-solving, and analytical skills Responsibilities:Responsible for all the U.S. state and local income tax compliance.Research, analyze, and document state tax issues.Calculate and project state and local income estimate payments.Manage state, local income and franchise tax notices and audits.Oversee U.S. sales & use tax plus VAT compliance.Oversee U.S. property tax and local business license compliance.Review reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts related to state and local taxes.Contribute to process and technology improvements sought at streamlining the compliance and reporting processesFind opportunities to reduce state and local taxes and make use of available tax incentives Requirements:Strong accounting, analytical, research, and MS Excel skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.Strong ability to apply standard methodologies to coordinate and prioritize tasks.Ability to work independently as well as with team members.Multifaceted, detailed, and analytical problem solver with goal towards efficiency and process improvement.Experience with the Thomson OneSource software suite (Income Tax and State Apportionment) is preferred. Minimum QualificationsB.S. degree required, Master's in Business Taxation, and/or CPA preferred5-10 years of combined industry and/or Big 4 experience required with focus on income tax compliance.
