EMPLOYER: Nexteer Automotive Corporation POSITION TITLE : Systems and Algorithm Engineer HOURS / WEEK: 40 JOB SITE LOCATION: 1272 Doris Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 DUTIES : Nexteer Automotive Corporation seeks a Systems and Algorithm Engineer based out of our office at 1272 Doris Road, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel. Use Matlab and Simulink tools to analyze existing functions and develop new functions based on requirements. Develop and maintain tools to predict system performance. Use dSPACE MicroAutoBox for rapid prototyping and vehicle level evaluation of new functions. Implement Machine Learning, AI algorithms using Python, Matlab, Simulink, Tensorflow. Generate, validate and document requirements related to motion control systems using tools such as PTC Integrity, Capella. Support Implementation of GUI (Graphical User Interface) and HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) for vehicle demos using C, Visual Studio, Python and Vector CANoe. Understanding of latest Autonomous driving technologies and control techniques. Debug and resolve system issues related to electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Support vehicle test, calibration and SW validation in releasing new functions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related degree field and Three (3) years of experience as Systems and Algorithm Engineer, Algorithm Designer, or related occupation. Experience must include: Experience performing system modeling using Matlab/Simulink; Experience with Model-Based Design, Model-in-the Loop Testing and rapid prototyping with dSPACE MicroAutoBox. 1 year of experience using automotive communication protocols including CAN and CAN FD, for calibration and functional verification.
