job detailsjob summary:We are searching for a Product Development Engineer in the Detroit, MI area to work for an industry-leading automotive manufacturer. Candidates should have experience managing product development projects within the automotive industry from beginning to end. Experience with automotive accessories or fleet vehicles is preferred.This is a long term contract position that could lead to a direct hire role.location: Dearborn, Michiganjob type: Contractsalary: $35 - 42 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Manage all vehicle accessory projects from beginning to end.
Incorporate new products into the program cycle plan, established testing/validation disciplines.
Work with suppliers to design new accessories, Provide and validate required data, perform packaging and environment studies, and arrange design review and validation, to include styling, engineering and management.
Supports prototype fit ups and reviews, lines up vehicles, parts, and generates work orders to perform required work
Releases new parts through the engineering release system, and reviews all releasing documents and maintain records.
