Position DescriptionAlly is seeking a DevOps Program Director, with extensive knowledge of DevOps tools and processes, to lead our centralized DevOps practice at Ally. The DevOps Technical Director will lead a team of technologists chartered with building and supporting the DevOps pipeline for the Business Unit CIO Application Teams. This is an incredible opportunity to run the evolution of Ally's target state DevOps environment and practice.The DevOps Technical Director will partner with technology leaders of various domains, as well as peers in the Business Unit CIO teams and in the Container & Cloud Engineering function, to drive the evolution of the DevOps pipeline, related processes, and flawless operational support. As such, the candidate should have significant experience in understanding the complexity of enterprise scale technology in financial services, and the ability to influence senior technologists across an enterprise.Job Responsibilities
Manage a team of technology professionals, setting goals and objectives, and holding accountabilities with the team members.
Ensure operations, architecture, and engineering excellence within the DevOps practice.
Conduct technology assessments, technology strategy reviews to select Tools.
Develops metrics and scorecards
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related science or relevant experience
Preferable Certifications: Amazon, Microsoft, or comparable experience
Expertise with DevOps, Atlassian Suite, Automated Test
Experience in engineering and architecting enterprise grade solutions
