Michigan Waterproofing is looking to hire a full-time laborer for work in the field of new basement foundation waterproofing.
Under immediate supervision, this position performs routine tasks involved in a variety of manual labor tasks. These tasks include strenuous physical labor such as heavy lifting and working in inclimate weather. This position may require you to operate select power tools or equipment to be determined on a project-by-project basis.
You will be paid every two weeks.
Lift/ Load/Transport materials and equipment
Picks up and delivers equipment, supplies, mail, and materials
Loads, unloads, wraps, stacks and otherwise prepares items for transport or for use
Helps move heavy objects
Spray foundations with waterproofing material & foundation crack repairs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation or G.E.D.
State issued driver’s license
Daily access to reliable transportation
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
One year of experience preferred in one or more of the following task areas:
Performing strenuous labor duties
Waterproofing or other construction field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Read and write English and to understand and follow oral instructions
Communicate verbally and in writing
Perform all the duties of the classification, even in inclement weather
Work effectively as part of a workgroup/team
Display physical strength, alertness, mechanical aptitude, and industry on the job
Interact effectively with coworkers, leaders, and the public
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Work is performed indoors or outdoors, with exposure to seasonal weather conditions and varieties of people
Work frequently involves periods of intense physical effort including lifting and operating tools and objects weighing up to 90 pounds, walking significant distances, and moving debris or other heavy objects
