Setting up up a variety of machines, manual and automatic, on a wide range of parts having several shoulders, radii, recesses, and tapers to close tolerances.
Performing deburring/grinding operations to ensure that the parts meet company workmanship standards and customer surface specifications on all surfaces and edges.
Position cutting tools onto holding fixtures of machine and grind parts to meet quality specifications.
Must be experienced with the use of micrometer, gauges, calipers, and must have knowledge of characteristics of material cutting tools and grinding wheels.
Performing routine maintenance of equipment ensuring that equipment is in good working order and all safety features are working properly.
Notifying Management and or Quality when corrective action is required.
Must have the ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and interact with production system.
Performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
Being productive and work to due dates.
Following established procedures as well as quality and safety standards.
Maintaining cleanliness of work area, equipment.
Other various duties assigned by supervisor.
