About Us
We are a rapidly growing body shop in search of skilled automotive paint technician to join our team. The auto paint tech shall refinish bodies of vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Formal training in auto body painting from a technical school or community college.
Previous experience in auto body painting or a related field.
Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment.
Knowledge of various paint types and finishes.
Ability to mix and match paint colors.
Attention to detail and precision.
Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to auto body painting.
Familiarity with different types of automotive surfaces and how to treat them.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Sanding, grinding, and filling dents or scratches to prepare surfaces for painting.
Cleaning and masking areas that are not to be painted.
Mixing paints to achieve the desired color and consistency.
Applying primer, paint, and finish coats using spray guns and other painting equipment.
Ensuring an even and smooth application without runs, sags, or other defects.
Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
Touching up any areas that require additional attention.
Ensuring proper curing and drying of paint.
Maintaining painting equipment and tools in good working condition.
Following all safety guidelines to protect themselves and others from hazardous materials and fumes.
Properly disposing of hazardous materials.
Keeping records of work performed, including materials used and time taken.
Reporting any issues or defects to supervisors
Experience:
Auto body refinish: 3+ years (required)
Schedule:
8-hour shift
Monday to Friday
