We are seeking a recruit who has some familiarity and comfort level with grinding steel.
We need somebody who has a basic knowledge of how to work with grinders. The candidate doesn’t have to be an expert. We will train you.
Important to the job is a strong sense of pride in craftsmanship.
In addition, we work as a team. We are a very small workshop, so the candidate must be a person who works well with others and has a good, positive attitude.
We can’t hire any candidate that has a problematic back or any physical issue that may prevent them from lifting, because some items we work with will weigh upwards of 40 Lbs. or more. The job is not all about lifting, but some lifting is part of the job description, as we are working with steel.
We need an employee that lives somewhat near the Fraser, Michigan area, with only a half hour or less travel time to our workshop. Candidate must have a reliable transportation to our workshop.
Starting pay is $15 per hour for a short training period, with a raise once we see that the recruit is working well in our shop.
This is a full-time, 40-hours per week position, with opportunities for overtime, especially when we are getting ready to be at a show and during shows where we sell our work.
