Job Summary:

This role manages and optimizes cross-border transportation networks, focusing on performance analysis, operational improvements, and collaboration across regional and global supply chain teams. The position ensures timely delivery, develops carrier relationships, supports tender processes, and provides training and expertise on logistics systems and processes. The role is based in Farmington Hills/Plymouth.Key Responsibilities:Oversee cross-border transportation (origin, first mile, border mile, final mile).Monitor carrier performance, analyze KPIs, and provide insights to enhance operations.Collaborate with global and regional supply chain teams for process improvements.Provide feedback to transportation providers and scout for optimal carriers.Support tender preparation, evaluation, and contract development for transportation.Prepare and present transportation performance reports to senior leadership.Train carriers, suppliers, and internal teams on policies, service standards, and industry best practices.Collaborate with freight procurement to manage contracts, rates, and cost analysis.Handle escalations, freight claims, and ensure provider expectations are met.Identify efficiency opportunities and develop training materials to support ongoing improvements.This position offers a Hybrid working environment, combining remote work with in-office presence. Employees must be available to participate in workshops as needed and accommodate domestic and international travel requirements.

Position Responsibilities: Risk Partnership Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of end-to-end processes to be able to serve as a subject matter expert for operational performance issues that arise. Responsible for more complex business areas and topics. Analysis of RCSA: Collaborate with the first line business experts to create a real-time RCSA to define and document business processes and new initiatives including the assessment of key processes, risks, mitigating controls and action plan development.
