Mango Languages is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Spanish Curriculum Reviewer to evaluate Spanish language curricular materials. In this part-time, remote contractor position, you will collaborate with a team of linguists, language teachers, and legal experts to polish our up-and-coming Spanish language curriculum.As the Spanish Curriculum Reviewer, you will be responsible for reviewing the curriculum materials and identifying content which does not adhere to Mango’s content standards or national or state legislation around sensitive topics in education. For each instance, you will advise the curriculum team on the best course of action based on your understanding of the needs of the users, Mango’s content standards, and industry trends. You will serve as advisor to the curriculum development team on matters related to sensitive topics in education.The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of national and state laws, regulations, and standards related to language learning. Successful candidates will care deeply about quality in world language curricula. Ability to read Spanish at an intermediate level is a must.Responsibilities

Review and assess Spanish curriculum materials for potentially sensitive topics in education

Document and report findings in a clear and organized manner

Provide detailed feedback and suggestions for content revisions

Collaborate with curriculum developers and other reviewers to maintain high-quality educational standards

Stay updated on current trends and best practices in world language education

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field

Experience in K12 world language curriculum development or review

In-depth knowledge of all national and state laws, regulations, and standards around sensitive topics in education in the US

Profound understanding of trends in the language curriculum industry around controversial topics

Experience teaching in a world language classroom

Moderate proficiency in Spanish; ability to read at the Intermediate level

Passion for the learning and teaching of language and culture

Reliable internet connection

Experience with Google Suite (Sheets and Docs) preferred
