It also serves as the base teaching hospital for Michigan State University.Scope of workUnder general supervision of the registered nurse is responsible for performing various tasks to facilitate efficient and smooth management of surgical/endoscopic patients and procedures in a safe and timely manner. The Surgical Services Assistant transports patients, prepares patients for procedures. Inventories and order supplies per established unit levels. Turn over the OR room, wipe all the equipment down in the OR room, mop the floors, bring in equipment for the following case.How we will care for you, while you care for our patients

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Required

Successful completion of a minimum of one to three months of on-the -job training to become familiar with equipment and processes, to provide a safe environment for patients to prevent injury or delay in discharge Required

AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required upon hire

  • Payment Shared Services Work Lead Enterprise Payment Investigations The Work Leader is responsible for providing operational support and guidance for production tasks. This position will provide advanced problem resolution and the ability to communicate and escalate significant production issues within an operational business unit; as well as oversee the daily workflow, to ensure all service levels and customer needs are satisfied. Position Responsibilities: Support and adjust customer accounts associated to processing within error resolution guidelines. Assists in resolving more complex production related issues within the business unit with the ability to escalate significant production issues to the appropriate leader in a timely manner. Ability to identify and recommend changes to operational procedures for efficiencies within the department and other related business units. Works independently with limited supervision proactively resolving customer or client issues. May be required to participate in projects impacting business unit with ability to document procedural changes to department functions. Requires independent decision-making skills, the ability to write procedures, and recommend process improvements. Demonstrates proven transferable skills, transformation behaviors, and ability to adapt to change while contributing to the Payment & Shared Services group.
