Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for providing analysis to the section, which is responsible for maintaining the registry in the Michigan Nurse Aide, Training and Enforcement System (MI-NATES) that contains Nurse Aides, Nurse Aide Trainers and Nurse Aide Training Programs. This position is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, analyzing, prioritizing, processing, and electronically assisting customers with MI-NATES. MI-NATES is an electronic database for nurse aides to obtain a registration, renew a registration and maintain registration information. Data from this system is placed on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry, which is required to be maintained under Federal and State law. MI-NATES also contains the permitting system for nurse aide trainers and nurse aide training programs to obtain a permit as required by law, renew a permit and maintain permit information. This position will also provide back-up coverage to the section's Departmental Analyst 11 to review, analyze, evaluate and process nurse aide trainer and training program applications for compliance with state and federal law to determine whether a permit should be issued as well as on-site inspections. The section is within the Health Facility Licensing, Permits, and Support Division and oversees critical functions that support federal certification activities within the bureau.
