DescriptionHuman Resource/Office ManagerRobert Half Finance and Accounting is seeking a detail oriented Human Resource/Office Manager to join one of their emerging clients team! In this role, you will be required to perform to positions. This company has merged the two positions together and created an employee advocate position in which employees can speak with the same contact regarding numerous issues. The primary function of the Human Resource/OfficeManager is to complete a dual role that is tailored to act as the employee advocate, while completing administrative tasks.For immediate and confidential consideration please email your resume directly to Shannon Edlinger at Shannon.Edlinger@roberthalf.com.Responsibilities include:-Act as the Payroll Administrator:-Complete all weekly payrolls;-Manage employee paperwork (new hire, payroll changes, etc.) and enter into the HRIS system;-Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll, paid time off and other concerns;-Assist employees with the HRIS system;-Act as the In-House HR Manager;-Assist employees with their concerns, complaints, employment issues, etc. via in-person and over the phone:-Manage all W/C claims, EEOC charges, Unemployment claims, etc.;-Assist in new hire orientation, disciplinary actions, terminations when needed;-Assist with benefit renewals and employee questions regarding benefits (many of which are urgent);-Employment Verifications;-Assist in new policy changes, policy and procedure maintenance; participate in operational and management meetings; and-Be a Good Will Ambassador by assisting with parties, charitable events, employee appreciation, etc.Requirements-Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in HR and/or Accounting.-Must have at least 3 years experience in Accounting, preferably Payroll. Additionally, this position is required to have a minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources.-Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and written. Must be able to read and understand legal language and documents. Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, as this position is required to communicate with attorneys, state agencies, etc.-Must have the required mathematical skills to effectively work in an accounting department. This includes, but is not limited to: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.-In addition to the ability to learn any new software needed, this position is required to have EXPERTISE knowledge of the following:-HRIS Systems-Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access)-Certificates, Licenses, Registrations-Bondable-This position is a hybrid position between Accounting and Human Resources. Although both areas require different skills, the main focus of both positions is to work for the employees and assist in their needs. Therefore, EXCELLENT customer service is essential in this role.
