Job Title: Material Handler in Arden Hills, MNPay $20/hrs.,Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team at a medical components and hearing aid manufacturing company.
This role is based in our Arden Hills location on Grey Fox Road. You will be working in the stockroom, utilizing electric forklifts and pallet jacks to pick and pack orders, and occasionally bringing products to assemblers on the cleanroom floor.
The primary task involves packaging Medtronic test kits into boxes, sealing, and palletizing.
This is a fast-paced role where you will be on your feet all day, potentially walking up to 10,000 steps daily. You will also learn to work with the JD Edwards software system and should be competent with computers. The job includes lifting up to 50 lbs, though most items are smaller, between 20-30 lbs.
Training will be provided for shipping tasks. This position is on the second shift and requires a self-starter as you will be working alone in the area.
Responsibilities
Shipping: Locate and pack materials for shipping.
Receiving: Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
Cycle Counting: Assist with cycle counting under the direction of the Material Lead or Material Supervisor.
Material Storage & Movement: Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
Kitting for Production: Work in a team-based, cross-functional environment to complete kitting and delivery tasks as assigned by the Lead or Supervisor.
Domestic and International Shipping: Assist the Lead or Supervisor in daily shipping of products to internal and external customers using UPS, FedEx, or DHL shipping software.
Essential Skills
Ability to use computers for basic data entry and 10-key operations, and Outlook.
1 year or more of order picking or inventory experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with warehouse software.
Skills in order picking, packing, and kitting.
Experience in shipping and receiving.
Ability to operate an electric pallet jack.
