Description A growing organization in the west metro is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team, responsible for efficiently processing payroll for over 1,000 employees using the UKG system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to navigate the complexities of payroll for a large workforce.Responsibilities:Data Management:

Accurately input and verify employee data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and other relevant information.

Ensure the integrity and consistency of employee information in the UKG system.

Payroll Processing:

Execute regular payroll cycles (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) using the UKG system.

Calculate and process deductions, taxes, and other withholdings accurately.

Compliance and Regulation:

Stay informed about changes in tax laws, labor regulations, and other relevant legislation to ensure compliance.

Prepare and file payroll-related tax documents in accordance with legal requirements.

Issue Resolution:

Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payroll, collaborating with internal teams and employees to provide timely solutions.

Record Keeping and Reporting:

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions.

Generate reports for internal and external audits as needed.

Communication:

Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll processing.

Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and matters.

System Maintenance:

Ensure the UKG system is properly configured and updated with the latest employee information.

Troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues promptly.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in payroll processing.

Implement best practices to enhance the overall payroll function.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably handling large employee populations.

Proficient in using UKG or similar payroll software.

Strong knowledge of tax laws, labor regulations, and compliance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payroll processing.

Effective communication skills for interacting with employees and internal teams.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues.

Strong organizational skills to manage and maintain payroll records efficiently.

Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
