Our market positions are an outcome of great work by employees who are committed to serving our customers.As a Sr. Business Banking Specialist at Wells Fargo you will be responsible for servicing and building relationships with small business customers with complex needs. You will work proactively to engage customers to understand what is most important to them and help with their complex needs. Sr. Business Banking Specialists work with a group of partners to deliver an exceptional customer experience, acquire, deepen, and retain relationships, and help small business customers with complex needs succeed financially.Your responsibilities include: Build, manage and grow relationships with small business customers by asking questions to learn about their financial needs and gain an understanding of their short and long-term goals, share how Wells Fargo can help, follow up, and conduct proactive outreach via phone or in-person visits, and set, plan and execute appointments Serve as a risk leader; understand and manage risks in the business, adhere to policies, procedures & controls and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules & regulations Explain and demonstrate self-service digital options to customers Maintain deep knowledge of bank products and services Build relationships with branch team members and partners and work together to best serve customers Complete service requests, establish new accounts, and submit credit applications Make introductions to partners to help meet customer's broader financial needs Help resolve customer concerns and escalate issues as needed Acquire, retain and deepen small business customers by leveraging appropriate systems to set appointments and conduct follow-up Participate in community organizations and build relationships with centers of influenceThis SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business, retail, recommending products and services, or customer service

Desired Qualifications1+ year of experience as a Wells Fargo Business Banking Specialist, Personal Banker 2, Personal Banker 2 Registered or comparable job family

Knowledge and understanding of book of business

Completion of all modules of the Business Banking Specialist ELP training

Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems

Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners

Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues

Knowledge and understanding of compliance controls, risk management and loss prevention

Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations

Ability to influence, educate, and connect customer to technology and share the value of digital banking options

Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members

High motivation with ability to successfully meet team objectives while maintaining individual performance

Experience mentoring and peer-coaching others

Extensive experience in asking questions and identifying complex financial needs in order to provide recommendations on products and services to customers

Experience leading or participating in events and activities for local networks or professional organizations, such as the chamber of commerce, professional business groups, or chapters of national organizations such as the Small Business Development Centers

Relevant military experience including working with military protocol and instructions, enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting

Relevant military experience including working in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources or military recruiting

Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary.
