Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Marketing/PR industry, located in Golden Valley, Minnesota, United States. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with various responsibilities such as managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable (AP) process Handle all matters related to accounts receivable (AR) Execute bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries Ensure timely completion of month-end close procedures Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP for daily operations Leverage MS Great Plains Accounting, MS Great Plains Dynamics, and MS Great Plains eEnterprise for various accounting tasks Apply knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) in managing financial records Ensure accurate customer credit records and take appropriate action when necessary Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger accounting Ability to perform Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using NetSuite software QuickBooks experience is a must Familiarity with SAP software Experience with MS Great Plains Accounting Knowledge of MS Great Plains Dynamics Familiarity with MS Great Plains eEnterprise Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of federal, state, and local financial legal requirements Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
