The position assists in maintaining absences and assignment records for consultants, subspecialty clinics, procedures, and works closely with Division Management to provide reporting of ongoing activities and also to accommodate changes and adjustments as necessary. The position also works closely with appointment secretaries within the appointment office. The position works closely with the Division Administrator, Division Leadership (particularly the Practice Chair and Division Coordinator) and other staff and allied health regarding Divisional appointments and schedule policies, changes, and activities.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of related experience including some experience working with Mayo Scheduling System (MSS). Previous experience with faculty and appointment office strongly preferred. Due to significant contact with many customers within the division and within Mayo, prior experience with accounting, administration, institutional appointment office, medical school, and faculty is helpful. Prior experience dealing with patients also strongly preferred due to the direct contact and coordination role regarding the appointment office and patient telephone calls. Knowledge of spreadsheet applications (Excel) is preferred. The position requires an outgoing individual with above average communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate scheduling information and changes to individual consultants and also to Divisional leadershipWork will primarily be performed remotely but at times will require incumbent to be on site.
