Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose test and process failures of medical devices and report findings to Engineering SMEs.
Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment on assigned line(s) as needed.
Perform initial equipment diagnostics on assigned line(s) and execute repairs within your skill level. Escalate more complex issues to Manufacturing Engineers and provide support as required for repairs.
Utilize and understand assembly documentation such as schematics, BOMs, EC documents, visuals, testing tools, and procedures.
Provide ongoing education to Production Operators on assigned line(s) regarding operations and failure handling.
Collaborate effectively with other technicians as necessary.
Work on technically complex assignments, requiring judgment and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations.
Assist Manufacturing Engineers in achieving optimal process performance by measuring and optimizing equipment performance, monitoring trends, and collecting production feedback.
Recommend tooling, fabrication, and product design modifications to enhance manufacturability (DFM).
Observe machinery and determine necessary steps for achieving optimal line efficiency and product quality.
Continuously monitor defect analysis to track and assess equipment and process performance.
Provide daily pass-down reports to the Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and the next shift's technicians.
Adhere to all safety and health regulations associated with this position, following manager directives.
Comply with company security policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications:Knowledge Requirements:
Associate degree preferred, with a minimum of three to five years of related experience.
Understanding of electronic circuitry, controllers, data recorders, temperature control, PLC, and previous fabrication assembly and test experience.
Knowledge of mechanical equipment and the ability to interpret electrical drawings.
Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferably, experience in the Medical Industry within an FDA and ISO environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Train new and less experienced technicians in proper procedures and create and verify work instructions.
Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, based on company evolution and departmental needs.
