M Health Fairview is looking for a for a dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Dialysis Unit at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, East Bank campus! Are you ready to join this team? Are you ready to make a difference in people's lives?Our Dialysis Nursing team delivers direct clinical dialysis care to inpatient acute patients, hemodialysis patients, peritoneal dialysis patients and CRRT. The nurse manager will support both Adult Dialysis patients in the East Bank Campus and Pediatric Dialysis patients in the West Bank Campus in our University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. Our hospital is a flagship facility of M Health Fairview and represents years of groundbreaking medical breakthroughs.This position is full time (80 hours every 2 weeks). Leads day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.

Plans, manages, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities including staffing, resource management, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.

Handles equipment inventory and supply management within operational budget.

Accountable for capacity management to promote patient flow.

Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates the quality improvement initiatives.

In addition, the Dialysis NM:

Is responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.

Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Advocates for patient, family and staff needs.

Drives improvement activities that promote patient centered care and positive customer experience.

In partnership the Nursing Practice and Education team assure that evidence based/standard process clinical care is being delivered.

Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements, education and clinical competency.

Works with Nurse Director to establish goals and objectives.

Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional development, nursing education and research.

Partners with interprofessional team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.

QualificationsRequiredEducationBachelor’s degree in Nursing. If Bachelor’s degree is not in nursing must have a Master’s degree is nursing.ExperienceFour Years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.License/Certification/RegistrationLicensed Registered Nurse.
