OverviewDo you have four to six years pharmacy or healthcare experience with direct patient contact? Do you have an active tech registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy? We at MHealth are looking for you to join Kasota team located in Minneapolis! This benefits eligible position is a 1.0FTE (80 hours/2 weeks) on the day shift. Using superior customer service skills, answer phone calls regarding billing, benefits, and copay assistance. Proactively investigate patient coverage benefits and financial assistance to facilitate access to specialty medication and promote compliance. Be the expert problem solver and resource for resolving issues and questions from internal and external departments. Build and employ knowledge of funding resources to provide the highest level of assistance available. Review accounts before sending to collections. Set up payment plans as necessary.Responsibilities Job Description

Answer phone calls regarding billing, benefits, payment options, and copay assistance.

Work with patients on copay assistance enrollment.

Work with Self-Pay patients to get updated insurance information.

Process patient payments made over the phone

Understand billing primary, secondary and tertiary insurance claims, including copay assistance

Understand all third party and Medicare/Medicaid regulations and billing guidelines as they pertain to home infusion claims

Understand Copay Assistance eligibility requirements.

Bill and follow up on copay assistance claims.

Resolve any billing issues as needed

Manage Self-Pay accounts by working with intake to verify eligibility and check benefits.

Review drug dispenses for copay assistance qualification and screen patients for eligibility

Review patient accounts over 90 days and work with patients to set up payment plans

Explain patient charges and communicate expectations of payment plan

Manage GAP assistance requests

Confirm delivery tickets and nursing visits

QualificationsRequired Education

High School diploma / GED

Experience

Four to six years pharmacy or healthcare experience with direct patient contact

License/Certification/Registration

Active technician registration with the MN Board of Pharmacy and if registered on or after 1/1/2013, must have completed or be scheduled to complete an approved pharmacy technician program

Preferred Education

Vocational / technical or Associates Degree.

Experience

Two to four years progressive pharmacy experience.

Previous knowledge of prescription funding resources and insurance benefits.
