Description Location: Hybrid - (3 days/week)Duration: 3+ months, with the potential for extensionDepartment Overview:
Small team of 2, including a benefits specialist with 3-5 years of payroll experience.
700 employees, paid bi-weekly, including sales commissions.
Utilizes UKG for payroll, time, and attendance (not updated to Kronos).
Managed by the IT team, working with imports and exports from manufacturing/pre-plant.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, with weekly processing for specific departments (sales, manufacturing plant).
Handle payroll for various states: Primarily MN, with a few employees in WI, FL, IA, KY, DC, MD, and VA.
Manage payroll and process taxes, including garnishments and tax uploads.
Address accounting questions and provide resources for FTE reporting.
Prepare and update union contract information, pay functions, and LOA tracking.
Post-pay cycle reporting, union dues management, analysis, and payments.
Collaborate with the HRIS and benefits team to ensure accurate benefits deductions and mapping to the GL.
Assist with compensation work, salary surveys, merit processing, and PTO balance analysis.
Ensure accurate and timely processing within UKG.
Requirements
Qualifications:
3-5 years of payroll experience.
Strong understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations.
Proficient in UKG payroll systems.
Ability to handle union contract updates and related processes.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
