Quality Assurance ManagerDIRECT PLACEMENT | EXCELLENT BENEFITS | DAY SHIFT Job Description:The Quality Assurance Manager ensures the highest standards of food safety and quality within our manufacturing operations. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits, and overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements. The manager will lead a team to monitor production processes, address customer complaints, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate quality records, managing third-party audits, and providing training on quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
Develops, documents, oversees, and reviews policies, programs, standards, and procedures related to food safety and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CGMP’s, HACCP, SQF).
Leads staff in lab and documentation work.
Maintains knowledge of quality assurance codes and standards; engages in food regulatory issues.
Oversees third-party and regulatory audits; ensures corrective actions.
Ensures food safety and quality records are accurate and current.
Manages customer quality complaints, investigations, and communications; tracks corrective actions.
Implements problem-solving processes for quality issues.
Provides organizational training on quality topics.
Conducts internal audits to assess performance.
Develops supply chain programs for raw material safety and quality.
Leads improvement projects.
Participates in business development to assess production capabilities for various products.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Food Science or related field
10+ years of experience in food processing/safety
3+ years of QA Management experience
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of CGMP’s, HACCP, SQF
