Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The position is within the hospitality industry and the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for a range of administrative tasks. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Greeting guests at the front desk upon their arrival and departure, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Answering any guest inquiries, recommending activities and restaurants, and handling incoming phone calls. Conducting guest registration through our badging software and issuing visitor passes as required. Assisting with the scheduling and preparation of meeting and conference rooms, ensuring all equipment is in good operating condition. Coordinating catering for meetings and events, including negotiating pricing and menus when necessary. Managing general clerical duties related to distributing packages and mail, using tracking systems to record inbound and outbound courier, freight, and mail. Ordering office supplies and other common use items for the location, maintaining the neatness of reception area, conference rooms, and other common areas. Maintaining records and logs of service requests and tracking their status. Arranging convenience/hospitality services for guests such as transportation, tickets, and reservations. Utilizing skills in MS Office, Office Administration, Customer Service, and Scheduling to effectively perform all tasks and responsibilities. Requirements Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience in receptionist duties such as answering phone calls and managing correspondence Familiarity with administrative office tasks including filing and record keeping Knowledge of office administration procedures and best practices Demonstrated ability to provide administrative oversight and assistance Proven experience in assisting customers and guests, both in-person and over the phone Ability to direct guests to appropriate individuals or departments Exceptional customer service skills, committed to providing a pleasant and efficient experience for guests Experience in scheduling appointments, meetings, and events Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
