Laune Bread is looking for to add two humans to our small team:
Front of House & Delivery : Weds-Saturday 6am-2pm / 7am-3pm
Front of House : Thurs-Saturday 6am-2pm / 7am-3pm
Laune Bread is a small neighborhood bakery in Longfellow, creating strong relationships with our customers and our farmers. Part of our work is to educate customers of our baking practices, ingredient sourcing and the meaningfulness of bread and farming. Our small team works hard to create an array of naturally leavened whole grain sourdough breads, pastries, sandwiches and more with local & seasonal ingredients, with minimal waste. Our goods are enjoyed at our shop, through a bakery subscription and delivered across the city to neighboring cafes and businesses.
We are a team of seven talented humans. The collective teamwork we do is done with care and intentionality. The ideal person for this position will understand and support these values. Good communication, listening and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback is important. Having a considerate awareness of others (customers/colleagues) and the ability to contribute to a pleasant and supportive work environment are integral for our bakery and team to exist and thrive.
While experience is preferred, we welcome those who have an interest in local food systems and building community.

Start Date: approximately beginning/mid April:
Approximately 32 hours per week
Wednesday-Saturday 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm
Starting wage $15.00 + equitable portion of earned service fee (+/- $4.50/hr)
Role:
Provide excellent hospitality and customer service to guests and offer knowledge of the the bakery’s products, techniques, ingredient sourcing and farming relationships
Manage packaging and labeling for FOH & deliveries
Maintain a clean and organized FOH
Cleaning & mopping of FOH, customer bathroom, and assist in dishes when applicable
Delivering bread & pastries Thurs/Fri (option to expand Weds+Sat)
Requirements:
Have a valid driver’s license
Multitasking, professional, respectful, communicative, punctual, efficient, team oriented
Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced high volume kitchen/bakery environment
Must work Saturdays
Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand on feet all day
Must be able to climb stairs
Computer proficiency
We operate during holiday seasons and expect our staff to work the days/weeks leading into Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We take two full weeklong, unpaid vacations, once in winter and once in summer.
Benefits:
Paid 30 minute break (per 8 hours shift)
Purchase ingredients through the bakery at cost
1 free loaf/pastry daily, and whatever is unsold at the end of the day
Discounts on additional baked goods
