Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic PART-TIME Bar Back to join our team at our bar on the weekend nights. As a Bar Back, you will play a critical support role in maintaining the smooth operation of the bar and ensuring our bartenders can focus on providing excellent service to customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Support Bartenders: Assist bartenders by stocking glassware, garnishes, liquor, and other supplies to ensure a fast-paced, efficient work environment.
- Stocking & Inventory: Replenish bar supplies throughout the shift, including alcohol, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, and other necessary items.
- Cleaning & Organizing: Ensure the bar area, storage, and equipment are kept clean and organized at all times. Clean glasses, bar tools, and equipment.
- Maintain Ice and Garnishes: Keep the bar stocked with ice and fresh garnishes, ensuring everything is ready for cocktail preparation.
- Waste Management: Remove empty bottles, cans, and trash as needed to maintain a clean bar area.
- Support Guests: Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner when needed, including answering basic questions and assisting in delivery of drinks to tables.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the bar staff, servers, and other team members to provide excellent service to customers.
- Restock Inventory: Ensure bar stock levels are maintained throughout your shift and assist with the inventory process at the beginning and end of each shift.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while standing and lifting heavy objects (cases of liquor, boxes of glasses, etc.).
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all bar supplies are properly stocked, clean, and ready for use.
- Team-Oriented:Strong team player who works well with others to achieve common goals.
- Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with bartenders, customers, and other team members.
- Hospitality Experience (Preferred but not required): Previous experience in food service, bars, or customer-facing roles is a plus.
- Positive Attitude: A friendly, customer-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Flexibility: Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
