Guacaya Bistreaux is in search of hostesses for their casual-upscale restaurant who possess excellent communication skills and can deliver outstanding customer service. Bilingual and fluent in Spanish is a plus.
A hostess welcomes customers as they enter the restaurant, manages reservations and waiting lists, provides menus, and escorts guests to their seats. They also handle phone calls, attend to customer queries, and assist other restaurant staff as needed.
Hostess Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests, managing waiting lists, and providing menus.
- Seating guests and accommodating their preferences while ensuring servers receive the right number of customers.
- Engaging with guests to ensure a positive experience and resolving any complaints.
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations, and answering questions.
- Possessing knowledge of the menu.
- Assisting other positions in the restaurant as needed.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
Hostess Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
- Ability to work independently with high-quality work.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time and safely lifting and maneuvering trays of food.
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification.
- Ability to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Able to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
- Prior restaurant experience is a plus.
