This is a flexible, in-home PCA position in Northeast Minneapolis. Tony is a 44-year-old sports fan, anime fan and hot dog connoisseur with a great sense of humor who happens to suffer from Friedreich's Ataxia. This means that while his mental faculties are sharp as a tack, his body doesn't keep up. While Tony currently has a small care team through Accra Home Care, we need another PCA to help with:
- Transfer to and from bed and wheelchair (Hoyer lift available)
- Dressing, bathing, grooming
- Feeding and light food prep
- Toileting
- Light cleaning
- Companionship, conversation and occasional outings
Hours are very negotiable, but help is needed for a few hours in the AM with morning transfer and bathroom routine, and a few hours later in the evening for dinner and transfer back into bed.
The PCA will have to apply and complete a background check through Accra Home Care, as well as complete online training (paid) if not already certified. PTO and health benefits available.
$19 - $20.50 / hour
