We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Machinist to join our industrial production team. You will set up and program various tools and equipment to create precision parts. During production, you must monitor the machinery and conduct regular quality checks to ensure they are running properly and that the parts are being produced according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to our production, so all candidates must have attention to detail and be extremely focused on their work.
CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret supplied blueprints, internal work instructions and job processing travelers.
Program and produce precision machined parts for internal use.
Set up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes, including trouble-shooting programs, monitoring tooling wear, etc.
In-Process inspection of parts and monitoring of processes to ensure parts adhere to IntelliFEED Inc. manufacturing’s workmanship standards.
Multitask; Work on several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time and within specifications.
Maintain quality and safety records, including monthly preventive maintenance of equipment.
Assist with raw material stock loading and unloading.
Adhere to and promote quality assurance procedures and processes.
Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications
Related trade school or secondary school program or 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent.
Technical mathematics skills required.
CAD/CAM software experience is a plus! (Mastercam) We are willing to send candidates with the most potential to programming classes.
Skills and related experience in complex component manufacturing processes.
Experienced understanding of machine control management, including awareness of all standard machine code terminology and usage.
Experienced understanding of print reading, including awareness of GD & T.
Computer skills to support program management & file management.
Awareness of cutting tool technology and terminology.
Experienced understanding and awareness of measurement tool usage (Gage pins, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
