Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Journeyman Installer to oversee residential and light commercial installations. This role involves leading installation crews, maintaining quality standards, ensuring code compliance, and delivering top-notch customer service. Ideal candidates are hands-on leaders who are committed to craftsmanship and mentoring their team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead installations of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and mini-splits
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and manuals to guide installations
Coordinate with project managers, customers, and team members to ensure project accuracy and deadlines
Train and mentor installation team members and apprentices
Perform system start-ups and ensure proper operation
Ensure all work complies with local codes and internal quality standards
Communicate professionally with customers on-site
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Complete accurate documentation and job reporting
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of HVAC Lead Installer experience
Proven leadership experience in managing install crews
EPA Certification (Universal preferred)
Strong knowledge of HVAC tools, techniques, and code requirements
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
Clear communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various conditions
High school diploma or equivalent
