D-Tails is a full service, Minneapolis based, design build remodel firm established in 2009. We do unique designed additions, full remodels, kitchens and baths working on only existing residential construction projects within the 7 county metro area.
Prefer 7 to 10 years experience with your own tools, truck/tranportation and current drivers lic. Prefer your non-smoking (for our customers) but understand and can work around that with correct disposal of smoking materials. We work inside on most of our projects, but outside framing and climbing is required, so heights should not be a problem. We need strong framing to finish skills (really is a must) and total understanding of whats plumb and square!
AS It's always about D-Tails - hacks can work somewhere else!
You absolutely must have an working understanding of all the trades (plumbing, heating and electrical) and have developed some skills in minor drywall hanging and repair. We do ! do ! do ! require excellent triming skills with some tile knowledge and solid surface installations for kitchens and baths. Superior in NOT making a punch list full of tasks will move you up the ladder fast.
AGAIN we construct additions/second stories with demo and header work, you will get dirty. And everyone participates in cleaning up. Knowledge may be require in (minor) roofing, correcting existing framing issues, siding and installing windows, doors and trim. If you can operate a custom aluminium break it's a plus.
Good grooming and on time is flat out expected. Remember as " It's all about the details."
