We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing our accounting software systems and maintaining our patient billing records. Responsibilities: Efficiently manage and update patient accounts using Allscripts and Cerner Technologies Handle Medicare and Medicaid billing, ensuring all claims are accurate and up-to-date Utilize Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) to facilitate data transfer and communication Process appeals and authorizations in compliance with healthcare regulations Conduct regular audits of patient accounts to identify and resolve any discrepancies Keep up-to-date with Medicaid eligibility requirements to ensure accurate billing Perform benefit and billing functions to maintain streamlined operations Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable (AR) and ensure timely collection Stay informed about changes in Medicare regulations and procedures to ensure compliance.
